Mrs. Phillips grew up in Detroit, Michigan and Ontario, Canada, and moved to Florida with her husband and 2 daughters in 2016. She earned a Bachelor of Community Development and Public Administration from Central Michigan University and a Master of Counselor Education, School Counseling from the University of Central Florida. She spent 8 years living overseas and then about 10 years running a youth basketball program alongside her husband. She is passionate about athletics and education, and helping students find their best selves, even in their awkward moments. When she’s not at work, you can find her at one of her daughters’ athletic events, enjoying quality family time or watching football.
