The school counselors at SunRidge Middle School provide services to students, parents, school staff and the community in the following areas:

• School Counseling Core Curriculum - the curriculum consists of structured lessons designed to help students attain the knowledge, attitudes and skills appropriate for their developmental level.  This includes lessons from Monique Burr's Teen Safety Matters Prevention Education Program.
• Individual Student Planning - school counselors coordinate on-going systemic activities designed to assist students set personal goals and future plans. This includes lessons on Social and Emotional Learning.
• Responsive Services - are designed to meet students' immediate needs and concerns.  This includes counseling in individual or small group settings.
• Indirect Student Services - this includes referrals for additional services and consultation and collaboration with parents, teachers, or other educators.

All of the services outlined above are aligned with the American School Counselor Association's National Delivery Model.
