Mathematics

The math department at SunRidge Middle School offers a variety of rigorous and supportive class placements ranging from 6th grade Math to Honors Geometry. Following the Florida Common Core State Standards, these classes are intended to prepare students for future math classes as well as the FSA or EOC cumulative exam at the end of the school year. By combining whole group instruction, station rotations, digital curriculum, and independent practice our goal is for students to reach a mastery level on grade level skills.

Calculus Project

The Calculus Project is a cohort of students that begins Algebra I Honors in 7th grade. Students are scheduled to work together throughout middle and high school with the goal of completing AP Calculus in high school. Students are invited into the program and have to attend a summer enrichment program each summer from 6th grade through Calculus.
